Samsung Galaxy J8 Review
We have always found Samsung trying to do something different for us. This time too, the company has brought up something very different from usual as the brand name Samsung Galaxy J8. This new handset is expected to take up the market very soon with its release in July, 2018. However, the built quality can be a place to be disappointed because in the modern generation of metal body, the company has focused to pull in a plastic body which may not get many users happy.
Design and Display
As mentioned earlier, the body of the Samsung Galaxy J8 is made of plastic which is definitely not what anyone expect in today’s market. Speaking of the dimensions, the thickness, width and height are in the following numbers – 8.2mm, 75.7mm and 159.2mm. Weighting around 191 gram, the device can be said to be a relatively heavy device. You can find the device basically in three colours, i.e., blue, gold and black.
Coming to the display, the handset comes with a Super AMOLED display of infinite display. The best of the resolution possible for the handset, i.e., 720 X 1480 pixels has been brought forward which provides an incredible pixel density of 274 PPI. The aspect ratio is also that meets with the modern generation’s requirement (18.5:9). It is a touchscreen device with fingerprint sensor just below the back camera.
Camera
It is a good to do camera to meet up the competition in today’s market. Users get a 16 MP front camera with a physical aperture of F1.9. Well, you get a dual rear camera for the best of the aperture mode. 16+5 is what comes as in the rear camera. Image resolution can be as high as 4616 X 3464 pixels without any doubt. Under the settings, ISO control, exposure compensation and others can be found. HDR mode, Panorama, continuous shooting and others can be found under the shooting modes. Videos can be recorded at a high resolution of 1920 X 1080 @30fps. Apart from it, LED flash is what comes in.
Hardware and Software
Speaking of the hardware, you find the fingerprint sensor just below the rear camera. Voice keys are found on the side accompanied with the lock button. Geo-tagging, touch focus, panorama, face detection and fingerprint sensor are the part of the handset.
Qualcomm SDM450 Snapdragon 450 chipset is what can be found inside the device clocked at 1.8 GHz Cortex-A53 CPU and Adreno 506 GPU. Sounds great, isn’t it? Well, this is not the place where it ends. There is more to come with the device, the memory of the device can be expanded upto 256 GB. Well, an internal storage of 64 GB is something that will be provided for you. The RAM is however kept low at 4GB but will surely be good enough for multi-tasking. The operating system found here is Android 8.0 (Oreo) for sure.
